A Little
Info About Us....
* We are a
registered Kennel with the American Dog Breeder's Association (ADBA)
First, We want to
acknowledge Hassel & Melody Toney for their great blood,
we got
very
lucky when we got Lilly's "Master Yoda" in 1997, who was a great Toney bred
dog
and was the
cornerstone of our yard. He will be missed always. RIP May 2005.
Thanks "H.T." & Melody Toney for your friendship,
advice and guidance
over the past 10 years. We Love you Guys!
Keep turning
out those Great APBTs!!
*Screamer's
Kennels breeds for great APBTs. Only best to best, selective breeding. We
do
use
inbreeding, line breeding and cross breeding to tighten up our line, just
like
champion
race horses or cattle, to insure great dogs. We started with total out
crosses in
most
cases before any
inbreeding was begun and Did our Research.
We took a
break in 2005 to welcome our new Baby home, but we will have pups during
most of 2006
if we are lucky. Thanks for your patience! We appreciate all the great
emails,
photos and
feedback from those of you who have our dogs. We breed for Gameness,
Athleticism,
Intelligence and Human companionship. We don't breed for any particular
color or
pretty papers, we
breed for great dogs. Our dogs are Very driven and are high
maintenance
like most APBTs. The outdoor dogs are very active and
hardware
gets
worn fast and the
majority of them are destructive with their houses and food/water bowls
The water bowls
are actually 55 gal barrels cut in half). They do make great indoor
pets for
the right
owners. They do behave very well indoors and act like real bulldogs outdoors.
They are
great "Lap Dogs" and "Guard Dogs". They love challenging exercise!!
If you need help learning to make a proper
& safe chain set up with a heavy
duty
swivel,
please let us know. We are here to help. This
is an important thing to have for
this breed,
especially our dogs, kept primarily on chain set ups outdoors, as
they need their
exercise and cannot be contained
well in
fences. We have found fences just aren't
dependable for adult APBTs in the long run...
or short run! :-) We believe even the
best house APBT needs to be chain trained and
crate trained just
in case. There's
nothing worse than seeing an APBT that was never used to a
crate
or chain and
have to find new homes on larger yards that need to keep them outdoors.
Its best
to prepare your
dog for any situation so that it will remain happy & safe
wherever they go. We may be
offering pre-made chain set ups complete with heavy
duty collars to the public this year.
Please let us know
if you have any questions a
bout our dogs or
kennel, and Thanks for Visiting our Yard.
